These potatoes are easy to make, fun, and super delicious. They go great with burgers on the grill which is what we made them with tonight. You can leave the skins on or take them off.
Ingredients:
6 potatoes Scrubbed
Half pound of bacon
1 cup of shredded cheese
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt to taste
Garlic Powder
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Scrub potatoes and slice them thin not cutting all the way through to the bottom like a fan. Use care not to cut all the way through or go so far that the potatoes break.
Cut bacon into thirds and place 1/3 of a strip of bacon in every couple of cuts of the potato place 4 to 5 pieces of bacon in each potato or until the bacon is gone.
Drizzle the slices without bacon in them with a small amount of olive oil. Then sprinkle the entire potato with salt and garlic powder to taste. Bake potatoes for 35 to 45 minutes until almost tender and the bacon is cooked.
Sprinkle each potato with cheese and bake the potatoes until the cheese is melted.
